Gestures
Experimenting using loose line gestures to develop my composition then adding in hints of human features.

Micro buggy
Here is a quick sketch to black and white render of a little dune rider rendered in Sketchbook pro 2010. I tried to keep the idea pretty simple and pump out more of these little guys.

Car

So, recently I have devoted some time to get a little drawing done for fun. This one was sent in from my friend Oliver who would have liked to see a development from a loose sketch he did. However this is a result of it.

Sci-fi Pinup
I really enjoy working with monochromatics really for creating a dramatic look. Here I tried to do some figure sketch of a girl presenting an electric scooter. I started first by doing a loose sketch with a 50% fill and opacity and a hard edge brush. Later I began to tighten and soften the image where needed. The 4 dots of color are my palette of colors that forward my range of light to dark with 2 medium tones between. I feel this is a good practice for my skills in figure drawing. I don't seem to do much of it, but I'll give it one more try. But now looking at it I'm thinking it may need some more contrast.

Floating Girl Sketch
This is a sketch I've been working on trying to get a little looser in styling. In this effort I was trying to work with lighting and the human figure. I was trying to use a gestural nature to the drawing by applying a 20 and 30 percent flow and opacity on the brush. Gotta keep working on this process before I get something worth finishing.

Old Gun
Just been checking out on some old stuff that I've done to get myself re-inspired. I ended up finding this old gun that I had rendered in Alias sketchbook pro and I used shades of violet to fill some quick color in. My goal from this is to create some scene inspired from my image of a gun. I also plan to get this shaded in a similar technique to simply get the point across and not get too detailed with the shading.

Some thinking
Well,
Still been pretty busy, but while watching this election coverage on tv I did a little sketching of some new ideas. I don't normally show these sketches just because they are so loose and gestural. Really the are to help me get an idea across within the matter of seconds. Proportion is a small concern but it is more than likely changed as the refinement goes on. I'm really liking the girl with the vignette over her head and also the 3 wheel cruiser with some mean eyes and a utilitarian body. Keep up with the progress.
